Το σχολειο μας συμμετέχει φέτος (2012) στο πρόγραμμα σχολικών βοηθών Comenius.

Η δράση αυτή δίνει τη δυνατότητα σε υποψήφιους εκπαιδευτικούς να εργαστούν για περίοδο από 13 μέχρι 45 εβδομάδες σε σχολείο άλλης χώρας που συμμετέχει στο πρόγραμμα, και σε σχολεία τη δυνατότητα να φιλοξενήσουν βοηθούς εκπαιδευτικούς από άλλες συμμετέχουσες χώρες.

Κύριοι στόχοι της δράσης είναι οι εκπαιδευτικοί του σχολείου υποδοχής να έλθουν σε επαφή με μελλοντικούς συναδέλφους τους από τον ευρύτερο ευρωπαϊκό χώρο για ανταλλαγή απόψεων και πρακτικών σχετικά με τις παιδαγωγικές και διδακτικές μεθόδους, αλλά και οι μαθητές να γνωρίσουν τη χώρα, τον πολιτισμό και τη γλώσσα του φιλοξενούμενου βοηθού. Επίσης οι μελλοντικοί εκπαιδευτικοί να ενισχύσουν τις γνώσεις τους όσον αφορά στις ξένες γλώσσες, στις άλλες ευρωπαϊκές χώρες και στα εκπαιδευτικά τους συστήματα και να βελτιώσουν τις διδακτικές τους δεξιότητες.

Our school is participating this year (2012) to the "Comenius School Assistant" action.

The objective of this action is twofold:

to give future teachers the opportunity to be placed for a period of 13 to 45 weeks in a school of another country participating in the Programme and
to give schools the opportunity to host teacher assistants from other participating countries

The main objectives of the action are to enable the teachers of the hosting school to come into contact with their future colleagues from the wider European area in order to exchange opinions and practices about the pedagogic and didactic methods and to give pupils the chance to get to know the country, the culture and the language of the host assistant. Also, future teachers can enhance their knowledge of foreign languages, other European countries and their education systems and to improve their teaching skills.

Some words from our school assistant, hosted to our school from January to April 2012

Hello!

My name is Helin and I´m a Comenius Assistant from Estonia. I´ve been in Cyprus since the end of January. So far I have not been disappointed in Cyprus, but I was really surprised when it started to snow in here. It seems that I brought cold and snow with me. :-) The nature here is magnificent and I really enjoy the view of enormous mountains with their snowy tops! (February 2012)

Εσθονία - Estonia - EESTI

Estonia is a republic, not so big, in the Baltic region of Northern-Europe. Estonia has two Independence Days - first achieved independence from the Soviet Union on the 24th February 1918 and again on the 20th August 1991 after 51 years of occupation. The territory of Estonia covers 45 227 km² with population of 1,34 million. Our capital is Tallinn, that is also the oldest capital in North-Europe. I live in Pärnu, that is the third biggest city and since 1996 Pärnu has been known as Estonia´s Summer Capital because it´s on the coast of the Baltic Sea.

We have our own language- Estonian. „Hello“ is „tere“, „please“ is „palun“ and „thank you“ is „aitäh“. The most important expression „I love you“ is „Ma armastan sind“.

Our flag is blue-black-white. Blue represents the sky, black – soil,earth and white – freedom and commitment.

Estonia is almost 50% forest and there are over 1500 islands, 1000 lakes and 7000 rivers.

Polar bears do live in Estonia- but only in the Tallinn Zoo :-)
